L+L Logic & Logistics provides distribution, financial, IT, HR & customer support services to Euro Comfort footwear brands: Birkenstock, Birki’s, Footprints, Papillio, Tatami, Alpro, Birko Orthopädie and is located in Hamilton Field, Novato CA.

Summary of Position:

Be part of the IT team responsible for improving reporting and systems automation for all of our Euro Comfort footwear brands. Participate in development of applications with business owners and team members and propose solutions for ERP/CRM applications. This position reports to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate entire Life-Cycle of application from specification & development to testing & implementation.
Translate business requirements into solutions that integrate all tiers of the application (i.e. database design, business logic & user interface design).
Document application specifications and provide technical documentation on developed applications.
Troubleshoot existing applications and provide input into functional enhancements.
Provide solutions that leverage existing code and provide a high level of reusability and scalability.
Train end users as appropriate.
Work directly with users and IT staff on day-to-day computer systems issues.
Act as backup support personnel for certain systems as required.    

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years programming experience
Hands on experience with Progress 4GL (version 9.x or greater) or equivalent 4GL programming language or High Level Programming Language.
Experience with Relation Database Systems and integration of database systems into application development.
Experience with one or more procedural database scripting languages.
Understanding of iterative approaches to software development.
Mature design, coding testing and debugging skills.
Work well as part of an international team, able to communicate across cultures
Independent decision maker and collaborative team member
Ability to work earlier hours to overlap with time difference in Germany
Travel to Germany may be required several times a year
Heuristic approach to software development
Effective time management practices
Effective written and verbal communication
Experience in Manufacturing and distribution environments, particularly production planning and logistics.

Preferred:
Understanding of Progress architecture
Understanding of Eclipse Development environment
Experience with Microsoft DynamicsGP (Great Plains) and Integration Manager
Experience with Progress Sonic MQ or equivalent messaging software
Experience with Progress ESB or similar Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Functional knowledge of UNIX operating system.
Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping and Value Added Network (VAN) services.
Experience in wholesale/retail industry a plus

Company Website Manager

Summary of Position:


This position will work with cross functional teams from marketing, sales, inventory planning, IT, accounting and management to develop, maintain, and improve the look, feel, quality and efficiency of Birkenstockusa.com.  It is a “hands on” position where success will be measured in increased traffic to our site, leading to increased revenues for our authorized resellers and BUSA, LP as well as an enhanced customer online experience.

Responsibilities:

 

  • •    Develop our existing site into the recognized best resource on the web for information about the BIRKENSTOCK brand, its heritage, core values and products. 
    •    Responsible for ecommerce roadmap, establishing medium to long-range site enhancement planning guidelines.
    •    Coordinate cross-functional “web” team for creative development and technical implementation of site content and projects, including: scheduled “refreshes”, the Birkenstock “community”, promotions, email newsletters, cross-channel programs, and web landing pages. •    Daily site maintenance - work with all parties to establish site stability, site changes, problem trouble shooting, escalation and resolution. Ensures proper set up regarding back end systems relating to order management & inventory systems.
    •    Manage online product assortment updates including product descriptions, pictures, product metadata, and categorization and pricing.

  • •    Maintain awareness of current business trends through comparison-shopping, online analytics, and industry-specific materials from trade and media channels.
    •    Implement appropriate strategies to support the whole Birkenstock online community, which includes consumers and brick and mortar resellers.
    •    Collaborate with Marketing to establish email calendar, facebook content & promotions and other social media initiatives.
    •    Track all online marketing campaigns and compile reports that track ROI and other key metrics.
    •    Communication with Customer Service Center - Fielding all questions, concerns, suggestions, and problem/issue resolution. Timely sharing of all website updates and promotions.
    •    Support business stakeholders on various projects, promotions and initiatives, such as channel email marketing communications and online elements of consumer campaigns.


 

 


Position Requirements/Qualifications:
•    4 year College Degree, preferably in marketing, business or computer science
•    5-7 years experience in ecommerce and/or software product management
•    Willingness to be hands-on and take ownership of every aspect of the website from conceptualizing, to business case, to copy and content, and through implementation and reporting
•    Ability to function in a variety of roles, including Business Analyst, Project Manager, Designer and Developer
•    Proven ability to interface with business as well as IT/technical teams
•    Strong interpersonal skills / team player and demonstrated ability to work with various teams harmoniously while keeping on schedule and on budget.
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills (experience writing copy)
•    Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, and Photoshop plus demonstrated knowledge of website technologies & best practices
•    SEO and Web Analytics experience required
•    Retail or Catalog merchandising experience a plus

Marketing Assistant

Summary of Position: 

Provide general support and perform administrative duties for the Birkenstock marketing department and marketing related activities. 

Responsibilities

•    Assist with updating the annual marketing calendar & keeping projects on track.
•    Coordinate timely delivery of consumer event deliverables and related tasks.
•    Assist with the ordering & delivery of marketing tools and items.
•    Proofread, update & route internal and external literature for approval and coordinate printing & delivery.
•    Support retailers with requests for marketing support materials/images.
•    Upload images & create metadata for Birkenstock systems: DAL, ABS, Portal, Website.
•    Promote brand loyalty and encourage user created content via active community participation and conversation. Engage online discussions by listening and responding to users in a timely and authentic manner.
•    Assist with company website as requested.
•    Tradeshow and Sample support as requested.
•    Explore & research new/potential marketing opportunities.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

•    4 yr BA/BS mandatory, a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or Business preferred
•    1-2 years relevant marketing/advertising/PR/social media experience (experience with apparel/footwear brands a plus)
•    Excellent computer skills: PC & Mac platforms, web/social media savvy, some experience with Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is required
•    Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
•    Willingness to learn, self starter
•    Ability to handle multiple priorities and extremely detail oriented
