Well, hello there. Today marks the final day of the Birkenstock 365, a project we’ve had going for the last year-and-a-half during the work week. We’ve featured hundreds of Birkenstock fan generated photographs here on the blog. We’ve run successful contests. We participated in Earth Day. We constantly reminded you how sensible, cost effective, stylish, and comfortable the Birkenstock brand has been since 1776.

Today I’d just like to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to this project and to those of you who read these daily posts either here or on Facebook. You’re core Birkenstock fans, all of you. You deserve our utmost thanks at every turn because you’re devoted fans of this wonderful brand.

We promise to continue our efforts to remain green and to meet the style and comfort demands of all of you. We welcome feedback and would love for you to remain engaged with what we’re up to here at Birkenstock.

Birkenstock Arizona sandals come in a slew of colors, they always will. The Arizona sandal is a favorite here at Birkenstock, but only because it’s a favorite of all of yours, too. A classic sandal with the utmost comfort that will last you for years, it’s hard to beat.

With just two days left here at the Birkenstock 365 project, we’re happy to see the photos continuing to flow into the Flickr pool. Thank you guys so much for contributing for the last year and a half.

It’s the time of year to be taking pictures everyone. The magic hour near sunrise and sunset casts amazing light on your subject, the leaves are turning, and Orange Birkenstock Gizeh sandals are being spotted across the globe. Whether you’re a tourist, a local, or just happen to be playing with a camera new or old, we’ve been loving all of the photographs you’ve shared with us over the course of the last year (and a half)!

This is the final week of the Birkenstock 365. On Friday we’ll be selecting two lucky winners to win free pairs of Birkenstock footwear. All we want you to do to enter this little contest is: add one photo to the Birkenstock 365 and tell us in the description of the photo why you love Birkenstock footwear. Be honest, be unique, and be creative. The best two answers win and will be announced a week from today, Monday October 25th.

I wonder what pair of upside down Birkenstock sandals this shot is of? Makes no difference really, what you’re seeing here is consistent among all Birkenstock footwear. Cork, jute, and non-abrasive glue, and eva. The good stuff that makes up the quality footwear that will last you generations. Seen here in black and white with a little dramatic lighting makes for a neat shot!

Amazing! This gentleman -on the left, just so we’re clear- built this sculpture in the image of himself. And he included a pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals on the sculpture! Now that’s some dedication. Would your self-portrait include Birkenstock? Do you already have one that does? We’d love to see it!

Boston clogs are making a comeback. It being a few weeks into Fall now we’re expecting that more and more of you guys will be ditching your Arizona sandals for the Boston clog. Fitting locations geographically when compared to their seasonal counterpart. Wooly socks and Birkenstocks, we like that here. Show us your best!

NOW we get where the mini pair of Birkenstock Gizeh sandals came from! But where can we buy this doll? Now if only this photo were right side up! We know Birkenstock sandals are comfy and might make you a little relaxed but flipping your photographs on their side so they can rest up too is taking it a little far, no?
