Good morning Birkenstock fans! Welcome back to the Birkenstock 365.
Today’s photo reminds me of the weekend I just spent in Lake Tahoe. We ventured out for breakfast 2 of the 3 mornings we were there, although I’m fairly certain we looked a little more disheveled than this lady, who’s obviously got this outfit working for her. Lookin good! The footwear really ties it all together.

Good day everyone! Thanks again for sticking with us through 50 business days of the Birkenstock 365. I’ve managed a day off tomorrow so you’re being treated to another double-scoop on the Birkenstock 365 waffle cone.
The first picture arrived in the flickr pool overnight and is an automatic winner. First, it’s tagged in flickr as being shot in Eugene, OR which is a place dear to me and the location of my alma mater. Second, it’s a fantastic photo. There we go with the socks and sandals again, however. I still need an explanation, people!
The second photo is of an ancient Milano that was completely reconstructed. We told you our sandals are renewable! Have a look at the reconstruction process in the Mountain Soles set on flickr. (Fun Fact: I used to see Matt from Mountain Soles at my old job in Portland where he’d come pick up shoes to repair for us.)

I love this woman’s outfit. Simple, colorful, Birkenful… It’s *almost* Fall ladies and gentlemen, and this is an almost Fall outfit. We’ve got some great things in the works for your viewing and wearing pleasure in the coming months. Hello again! Welcome back to the Birkenstock 365.
Today’s featured photograph is of a pair of Milanos, pictured here in Venice, Italy. Fitting, no? While I personally can’t condone the practice of wearing socks with sandals I’m aware that some of you can, and do. These ARE pretty sweet socks, however. Does anybody out there know when/where/why the socks and sandals debate began? I’m curious to know how it’s become faux pas. Please, if you have an answer, leave it in the comments below.

Happy Monday, friends!
It’s back to the daily grind for yours truly. By the looks of things, Craig & Bess pictured here are also beginning the week in a pair of Birkenstock sandals. Though I’m a bit covetous of Craig’s hat I’m pretty sure I know a great place to pick up some of his footwear! That’s the Arizona he’s wearing, folks, probably our most classic silhouette. They look as comfortable as they feel.

Ladies, aspire to do just this during the coming days. There’s something sweet about a gaggle of women sporting matching footwear. Fellas, well, just wear your favorite pair of Birkenstock footwear this weekend. That’s all we ask of you. Oh! And TAKE PICTURES! Share them with us!

Hello again! Welcome back to the Birkenstock 365.
Look! Even the hipster kids in skinny jeans are loving Birkenstock these days. I can’t blame this one, the Bostons are definitely my favorite silhouette from Birkenstock. For any of you sneakerheads out there who love the rare and custom kicks, the Boston has a seemingly endless amount of space on which to paint, embroider, or otherwise customize. The leather Boston is virtually a blank canvas for your artistic needs and, like the now infamous Monkey Bag, they could become a one-of-a-kind gem. I challenge you all to create your own unique pair. Of course you’ll then have to come back and share them with us here.
I’ll be rocking my Bostons all weekend. You?

Okay, okay, simmer down. As promised, we’ve got the results of the Monkey Bag Caption Contest!
Now that we’re all back in the lovely USA and rested we had time to thoroughly comb through all the (equally lovely) entries. It was a long process during which our opinions varied. We laughed, we cried, we almost took it to a thumb-wrestling match to settle disputes.

Good morning Birkenstock fans!
Welcome back. You know, sometimes you only need ONE Birkenstock sandals to get around the globe. This gentleman dropped a few pictures into the Birkenstock 365 flickr pool recently, each one from a different geographic locale.
