Happy Monday everyone!
While there’s nothing exceptional about this photograph- don’t get me wrong it’s a gorgeous picture of a pair of Golden Brown Gizehs- somehow it slipped under our radar that it’s part of someone else’s 365 project! We’re honored, really.
If you don’t have your own 365 project running perhaps you can donate to ours. We’re always in need of a few good photographs of you in your favorite pair of Birkenstock footwear. Please, submit your photos to our Birkenstock 365 flickr pool. Thanks!
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Good morning Birkenstock fans. It’s Monday but we’re catching up here on the Birkenstock 365.
While this last Thursday was a holiday for most of us, it might not have been for everyone out there so we’ve decided to post a couple travel themed pictures because just about everybody enjoys exploring new places.
The first photo was snapped at “The Bean” in Chicago, IL and features an older pair of Pisas. While I’ve never been to Chicago, I have seen hundreds of photographs of this large metal bean-shaped sculpture and I’ve no doubt that I’ll voyage to see it someday soon.
Our second photograph was taken in Barcelona, Spain and features a pair of Kairos. Yet another place I’ve yet to visit but is on my list.
How many places have your favorite pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, or clogs seen over the years? We’d like to know.
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Hellooooo!
OK FINE. You asked for another picture of Tawn…. wait, you didn’t ask for another picture of Tawny the Cougar to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend? I was the one who desperately needed to see another picture of Tawny the Cougar? Ok yeah, you’re right. But JUST LOOK AT IT. Really, does it get more adorable?
We here at Birkenstock wish everyone a safe and sound holiday weekend. See you in a few lbs… I mean, days. See you in a few days!

Aaron

Good morning everyone. Welcome back to the Birkenstock 365 project!
This morning we’re featuring a shot of a pair of Rosemead Black Suede clogs. These look like a perfect pair to wear out and about during this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend we’re gearing up for. And you know what? Those socks look good. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
One more work day to go! We hope you’re going to include your favorite pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes or clogs in your extended weekend. We also hope you’ve got your camera at the ready (hint, hint).
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Morning Birkenstock lovers, happy Monday!
The bar has been raised everyone. This photo is easily the best, most creative way we’ve seen a Birkenstock collection displayed. Meet Tawny the Cougar. We have no idea where he came from or WHY IT’S TAKEN SO LONG FOR HIM TO ARRIVE but needless to say, we’re entertained. We might even have to include him in ‘Pet Week.’
We hope everyone has a great short week and that you’ll be including your favorite pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes or clogs in your Thanksgiving plans.
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Happy Friday, Birkenstock lovers.
In sticking with the theme we created yesterday, I present you a Friday Madrid with a new friend.
It looks like it might be a cozy kind of weekend here in the Bay Area. Did you know it rains in California? No one told me that before I moved here, no fair! What’s your favorite pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, or clogs to just wear around the house? You know, staying around the home is the perfect time to break in a fresh pair… just a thought.

Aaron

Hello again Birkenstock fans!
In the spirit of the holiday season that is upon us, Birkenstock USA has partnered with Soles4Souls to run a shoe donation drive. We need your new and or lightly worn shoes!
If you’re not already in the know, Soles4Souls is a charity organization that collects new or slightly worn shoes from footwear companies and individuals and distributes them nationally and internationally to areas in need regardless of race, religion, or class. Soles4Souls has only been around for a handful of years and already they’ve distributed better than 5.5 million pairs of shoes to over 125 countries.
What this means:
While you can donate your new and/or lightly worn shoes to Soles4Soles year-round, we’re doing our part to help make that process easier. AND more fun! At participating retailer locations you should find a Soles4Souls donation bin where you may drop your shoes and take advantage of the free shipping to Soles4Souls. However, if there’s no participating retailer near you, worry not, you have another option. Donating from home is as easy as , filling out the appropriate form, printing it, and sending it in with your shoes. Because free shipping will not be available from your home we will reward those of you who choose this route with a 20% off coupon to our on-line store once your shoes have been received by Soles4Souls. (Redeemable on birkenstockusa.com only)
BUT WAIT. THERE’S MORE. At both our participating retailers AND here on-line , you’ll have the chance to register for our enter-to-win contest. You won’t want to miss this.
Enter-To-Win:
Birkenstock and Soles4Souls are teaming up to send one lucky winner and a guest to an international location as part of a Soles4Souls donation team to distribute shoes to those in need. Yes we said it, WE’RE SENDING YOU ACROSS THE GLOBE, PEOPLE! Read more about this fantastic opportunity.
The lucky winner will be chosen at random and announced here on the Birkenstock Blog on or near February 26th. The full enter-to-win rules can be found here and at participating retailers.
Now GO! DONATE! ENTER! WIN!

Aaron

Hello again Birkenstock lovers. Welcome back!
We were just thinking it was about time we had another instant winner dropped into the Birkenstock 365 flickr pool. Here you have it, this photo was added overnight and has become an immediate favorite around the office. So much so that it’s prompted my boss to request we do ‘Pet Week’ here on the Birkenstock 365. You know what that means, people. We need photos of your furry animals and your Birkenstock sandals, shoes, or clogs.
Add them to flickr, send them to us on facebook, or shoot us a link to them on twitter.
Pet week will come just as soon as we’ve got 5 fresh animal photos. Do your best!
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Helloooooo! Welcome back to the Birkenstock 365 project.
Seems we’re discovering more ‘out with the old and in with the new’ photos in our beloved flickr pool. The best part about owning a brand new pair of Birkenstock sandals is the excitement you feel about being able to wear your old pair for events/chores that you wouldn’t have worn them for before the new pair came along. All of a sudden mowing the lawn is A) more fun and B) more comfortable. Am I right or am I right?
Here’s to your next fresh pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, or clogs. May they find you soon.
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

Good afternoon Birkenstock fans, welcome back.
“Out with the old and in with the new” reads the title of this photo where it’s hosted in our Birkenstock 365 flickr pool. Sometimes you just have to purchase a brand new pair of Arizonas despite being able to ‘renew’ them from scratch. That’s perfectly acceptable with us, encouraged even. Of course you’re reading the ramblings of a gentleman who owns more shoes than most families of 4.
We’re curious to know, when do YOU make the decision to purchase a fresh pair of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, or clogs? After how long? New styles aside, after how long are you replacing a loved pair? Do you keep the old ones around for more multi-purpose wear?
Tread Lightly,
Aaron
