Well isn’t this the dreamiest photo of a woman in Birkenstock Arizona sandals you’ve ever seen? It’s no secret that the Birkenstock footbed will make your feet feel like they’re walking on air, something you can only practically do when you’re sleeping. I wonder how this photo was taken. Double exposure? Long exposure? In heaven? Well, at least her feet were in heaven.

Finding random things on the street is no anomaly here in the Bay Area. Fortunately, neither is seeing women strolling the neighborhoods in these black Gizehs. In fact, yesterday I saw three women shopping together in North Beach all wearing this exact style. Hows that for a nice find!

What would summer be without proper tan lines? We’re thinking up some crafty names for this one though, as “farmers tan” just doesn’t seem to fit. “Gizeh tan” and “sandal tan” are just too easy. Have any suggestions? We’ve already heard “Billy tan,” “hipie tan” (hardy har har) and “tandal,” which is clearly in the lead thus far. Let us know what you think!

Word has it that the Birkenstock Madrid is even capable of carrying people up mountain sides. AND staying on your feet while you do a handstand at 10,000 feet. Not too shabby for a sandal you can purchase for under $50. This photo was snapped by in Hawaii, a perfect place for a pair of Birkenstock footwear to be worn year-round. Jealous? We are.

Think this photo was snapped early in the morning or late in the evening? Sunrise or sunset? Waiting in line to view this statue before viewing hours began or winding down the day with feet resting before supper? In either scenario we’re relieved to see the appropriate footwear was chosen. Monks in Milan, in Milano sandals! If anyone knows how to take it slow and easy with a maximization on comfort it should be these gents. We’d suggest following their lead when it comes to footwear, though I’m not certain the rest of the garb is recommended attire for your work day. Unless you’re a monk, of course. A very dedicated Birkenstock fan of a monk who happens to be reading our blog right now or is friends with us on Facebook. No? Ok, just take heed of their footwear then and you’ll do just fine.
