We had a great day on Monday at the MORE® Magazine Reinvention Convention held for the first time in Chicago, IL at the historic Navy Pier. We were there with our wonderful friends from Complete Birkenstock. The MORE® Magazine Reinvention Convention is an opportunity for women “of a certain age” to come together to renew, recharge, and re-imagine ways to change their lives.
Emcee and all round fun gal Lee Woodruff, among other things, spoke about how the sudden injury to her husband, ABC news anchor Bob Woodruff, forced change on her family and how they’ve managed to heal, adapt, and overcome some of life’s greatest obstacles. Here’s an article Lee wrote for our friends at MORE® describing how she overcame the fear of letting go, more that once.
Like most of the women, Lee ditched her “cruel shoes” early in the day for a pair of comfy Birkenstock sandals. Lee chose the Mayari in the color of the season Twilight Blue. Together with her husband Bob Woodruff they founded the Bob Woodruff Foundation and Remind.org to assist wounded service men, women and families receive the long-term care they need and help them successfully reintegrate into their communities.
