Guys, there are really no words for how incredible this picture this made me feel this morning. If you’re unaware of what’s happening here, the good people at Mountain Soles up in Portland have modified this pair of Arizonas to be used as a cycling shoe. That metal piece on the bottom of the shoe clips into a specific kind of bicycle pedal that keeps the riders’ feet attached to the bicycle and makes riding more efficient, and more fun in my opinion. Birkenstock Arizona SPDs, who would have thought?
While we can’t endorse this kind of modification for everyone to try we can certainly admit to this being the most creative adaptation we’ve seen in quite some time.
Mark this one as being in our top 5 favorite photos this year. Have any neat pictures you’d like to share? Add them to the flickr pool here.
Tread Lightly,
Aaron

These belong to Mountain Soles employee Andrew. He is quite a creative guy, and I too was rather blown away by how cool these are.
