If you’re in New York City over the next few weeks, keep an eye out for taxi cabs displaying the Birkenstock logo and a picture of the latest More Magazine cover on their roof. (It should look like the picture above.)
Then take a photo of it!
The most creative, fun and original (in our opinion) photo of a New York City taxi cab featuring our ad submitted to us by May 1 2010 will win a pair of Onyx Gizeh sandals.

Welcome back to our second artist profile. We’ll be posting one of these per day this week. All of the artists featured were selected by ReadyMade to contribute to the auction we’re hosting on Facebook to support Soles4Souls.
ALO is actually a musical act who happened to hand craft a custom pair of Bostons for our auction. Their most recent record was produced by longtime friend and fellow recording artist, Jack Johnson for Brushfire Records. From the band’s presskit:
“The singer/songwriter/producer was a natural fit with ALO. “It felt like he joined the band for the album,” drummer Dave Brogan admits. “He was very hands on. If he thought he could add something to a track, he was willing to go for it. And we were more than happy to let him.” Johnson brought a new element to the group’s creative process. “In a really great way, Jack shook things up for us,” guitarist Lebo adds. “Most of us in the band have been playing together since we were 13 and we’ve fallen into patterns. Jack got us to rethink how we do things.”

The shoes from the auction will be on display at South by Southwest (SXSW) this Saturday, March 20th at The Palm Door from Noon-5pm if you happen to be in Austin, TX!
